On November 22nd Fannie Mae will sponsor a walk in the Washington DC area to help the homeless. This year will be the 21st anniversary of this walk. On any given night in the DC area there are roughly 12,000 homeless people, with more and more on the brink due to the foreclosure crisis, and now is the best possible time to have the 21st anniversary of this ever so helpful homeless walk. Affordable housing is a big crisis in the metro DC area and it is critical for residents of the area to go on this walk, and try to help the homeless. I think it is great that the community can really try and help the homeless. In addition to thousands of people that will make this walk, there will also be an expected 70,000 people who will take place in mini-walks. This is scheduled to be a huge success, and all of us that are not involved wish the best of luck to all who will be a part of this.
